REVIEW: Celeteque Facial Moisturizer

Hello, readers (if ever I have any left)! It's been a year of post-less existence for ekalibrium, and now I'm bringing it back (I'll try my best) to life!

*evil laugh*

I'm already in my last year of college (4th year: Part 2!! aka 5th year) -- busy with thesis and other stuff (yes, I'm still dancing professionally  ~whew!).

I would like to start my reblogging with a nice review about a product that changed my life (err..or face) BIG TIME!

I'm a late bloomer in using beauty products and I've just come to realize (why just now?!) the importance of using such products.

Let me start with my skin savior: the facial MOISTURIZER!!! :D

The Celeteque Facial Moisturizer has been a long-ignored product in my house. My mom used to put it on her face occasionally, and me, well, if I feel like it.

But only recently did I research about the benefits of using such moisturizers even for oily skin. (google it na lang)

What I love about this is it's water-based. Perfect for people with oily skin! Plus, it's non-comedogenic meaning it would not clog your pores! (yay pores!) It's also hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. When you put it on your face, it doesn't feel sticky at all.

Using this consistently every morning and night got rid of all the bumps I had on my forehead, and just generally improved the texture of my skin. :)
(sorry for the icky before-after photo. haha)

Since I stocked up on this way before (Buy 1 Take 1 pa), I still have the old packaging. Celeteque has long changed their packaging because of the DermoScience thing, if ever you're wondering why you can't find the same bottle anymore.

Now I just use this twice a day, in the morning and before bed. In between I use a different moisturizer (still from Celeteque), but that would be another post. :D

Paksyet ang Enrollment sa UP.

[currently listening to: Rex Navarrete]

It's June 2011.
Pasukan na naman.
And this time, 4th year na ako. Although I won't be graduating this year, 4th year na ako!!

Pero, man, this is the WORST I've experience sa pageenroll sa UP.
So can I just rant about it here?

Ayan.

Mahirap talaga.

Intramuros with the Queerest.

[currently listening to: J.Lo]

The group minus Macky in Intramuros (and yes, we were on the grass.) :P

Who knew Intramuros was a nice place to go to for a photoshoot with the queerest of the queer on a random rainy Monday afternoon?
Nobody did.

Hahaha. I was fortunate enough to have been invited by some friends to Intramuros.

Wala lang. Just for the heck of it.
And since nasa Baguio yung isa, wala naman akong ibang gagawin, I don't want to be stuck at home, why not?

I was with Ron, Ate Cza, Kuya Macky and another friend the whole afternoon. Di kami masyadong nakapagikot since umuulan, but still, it was one heck of an afternoon.

Baby Ballet. ♥

[currently listening to: Al Jarreau]

I am officially the Ballet Manila School's Baby Ballet teacher. And I got to be part of the School's Summer Workshop this year.

It was challenging and sure enough, crazy, but I loved my babies and loved being their teacher as well.
I had 10 babies in my first summer workshop and they were the best! Haha

The most awesome part was seeing them on stage for the very first time. It gives you such a huge sense of achievement when you know that they're enjoying their first summer as little ballerinas. Ganito pala talaga. You become so proud of each one of them.

I'm hoping to see most of them sa pasukan when the workshop ends and the regular school starts. Sana huwag silang mawalan ng gana sumayaw.

I miss you, Baby Ballet!

Finally getting the hang of giving him a bath.

[currently listening to: Plain White T's]

Whew! Another Monday so it means it's BATH DAY for my little Pepot.
I think I'm finally getting the hang of it since the whole bath went faster than it did last week.

I still think I need to buy a new hairdryer for him though. My blower just goes HOT and HOTTER (:P), it doesn't have a Cool Shot function so I think it's not too good for the pup's coat.

Right now I'm using #1 All Systems Shampoo already since I researched on the best shampoo I could use on him. Too bad for the first bottle I bought though, there's still a LOT of it.

He looks good after a good bath! Ang bango-bango pa. Haha.

Innocent look? Haha

Haha. Don't be deceived.

Bleh. :P

Shy ka???

Heh heh heh heh *panting*

*yaaaawn*

Happy!! :D

*yaaaawn* again

I'm sleepy....zzz

Tapos na ba??

Aba. Ang senyorito, may sariling electric fan. Haha

Guess who I found in the bus!

[currently listenin to: Sister Act]

Hey! Guess who I found riding the PVP Liner to Ayala?!?!?!

Yes, it's GUNDY MONTENEGRO!!
Haha. :D

The photo above is of her and her friend, Erika. (same lang din ba yung spelling? haha)
They were going to a place somewhere at the corner of Paseo de Roxas and Arnaiz St.

Nilito ko pa sila, giving them wrong directions. Hahaha. Buti na lang narealize ko na mali ako before it was too late. :P

Nice bumping into you, guys! :D

Oh, and Gundy...
I told you WE were NOT going to last. :)

Poo-Pee Tray!

[currently listenin to: aaah...silence. :) ]

I went to Cartimar again earlier today. And I bought my baby boy another present!

I bought him a POO-PEE TRAY!! :D
(so what if I'm the only one who called it THAT.)
Basta sa pinagbilhan ko, he said that it was a Doggie Toilet. Whatever. The Poo-Pee Tray sounds cuter. Haha.
I just hope he'll learn to use it. Makulit pa naman yun.

So far, he has already pooped on it. So that was good. :)
Hehe

He needs to be groomed ASAP.
The hair around his face is already covering pretty much everything, including the eyes. And it looks like the hair is poking already.
Kaya lang after the weekend pa yung schedule namin sa groomer. Whoops.

Be patient, little one. Malapit na.

Unexpected Free Loading.

[currently listenin to: Rihanna]

Mwahaha. Free loader ako...ng parents ko.
DUH.

Microbio lab ended a little earlier today so I asked my mom kung pwede ko silang puntahan after school sa Edsa Central.

Wait! Where da hell was that??!

Haha. Naloka ako. Basta nagjeep na ako papuntang Buendia from UP.

:( " (yes, with matching sad face)

Ako, "Ay ganon? :( Saan bang banda/direction yun?"

Kuya, "Di, joke lang. Ayun na o. (sabay turo sa katabing building ng RCBC)"

KUYA NAMAN E. O_o

Nagjojoke. Shet. Haha. Natawa tuloy ako sa sarili ko. :P

Is the place familiar? Hehe.

Yay! PROMO!!
Wahaha. LASEMA daw o.
Oo, sa Lasema nga. Nalaman ko pa na may promo sila ngayon. Super discount starting January 10. (Yay!)

(Aaaah. Haha. Ooooh, so he'll be frequenting Lasema? How will I go there with the guys if he's always there?!)

Amoy matandang-mayaman. Medyo.
Medyo matagal din sila dun. Nagsukat-sukat ng stuff sina Papa. Nakakatawa nga kasi kuha siya nang kuha with my mom's phone. Sabi ko, "Uuuh, if you want, dala ko yung SLR."

And they were like, "E BA'T DI MO AGAD SINABI?!?"
Hahaha. Malay ko ba.

Proof. Hindi ako nagjojoke. :P
So hintay-hintay...

---------------------------------------------------------
Sa Next Door. :)

Then nagyaya na maglunch sa Next Door (North Park). Hihihi! Antaray di ba. Kahapon, Japanese. Hehehe. Sarap!

Actually...
The day doesn't end there!

E since nandun na din ako.
I went to my dentist na for a much needed check-up...

AAAAAH!!!
Sabi niya my wisdom teeth are growing na...at least they aren't impacted and they won't need to be extracted when they come out. Yay!!

AND!
Pwede ko na daw hindi suotin yung retainers ko during the day. Sa gabi na lang daw! (Double YAY!! :D)

Haay. Minsan lang 'to. :P

Back to School.

[currently listenin to: doggyfriend.com music]

Haay. Back to reality. Balik na sa school. Tapos na ang Christmas break.
January 4 is a Tuesday to Microbio Lec lang ang klase ko today. Off din ang ballet since katatapos lang din ng Christmas season dun.

I just went early to Cartimar to buy Pepot a few stuff.

Aling Naty (the person who sold me my puppy) said na yung nagaasikaso daw ng papel ay umuwi ng probinsya. So bale, next Tuesday ko pa makukuha yung PCCI papers niya.

ANO BA 'YAN, NAKAKAILANG NEXT WEEK NA KAYA.

Anyway, I went there to buy Pepot new food so off I went going from shop to shop looking for Royal Canin for Shih Tzu (Junior).
Actually, it was all over the place.

The RC for Shih Tzu Junior sells for around Php550 in Cartimar.
I got a bag for Php530 with haggling from Kuya (where I bought the Frontline before).
Then binili ko na lang siya uli ng Purina Beggin' Strips (like the one from yesterday) and found it to be MUCH cheaper there than in the vet.

He's kind of like the first dog I really owned so I'll make sure he has the best na. :)

Ang weird kasi ang aga kong nakauwi today. Before 12nn I was home na. (REALLY UNUSUAL FOR ME) O well, at least Pepot got to see me early (weh.)

I haven't eaten anything the whole day, so since I was there na, niyaya ko na lang parents ko to a nearby Japanese restaurant here in the village, Miyako. (AKO yung nagpalibre ha. Haha)

Pepot's First Visit to the Vet!

[currently listenin to: some Indian music]

on the way to the vet
Earlier today, we went to the vet for Pepot's first visit. :)

It's time for his second set of shots from the vet. And he took the needle pretty well, actually.
I asked the vet if he could clip his nails (because they're actually hurting me now), and that's what he HATED. As in.

Treats that I cut into small pieces
He squirmed a lot the whole time. I was there trying to hold him in place so the vet could do his job.

So the doc was done and I bought some Purina Beggin' Strips (Bacon Flavor) from him as a reward for Pepot (since he didn't bite the vet regardless. Haha)

And I'm loving these doggie treats! Since I'm TRYING to train him to behave, he actually follows when there's a reward. Haha. Damnit. :|
When we got home, I let him play in the kitchen, leashed, of course. We were having lunch when Mama noticed smears of blood on the floor.

GOOD GAHD!!!! One of Pepot's nails was BLEEDING!!!!

Blaah. I rushed him back to the vet. If this is how a parent worries, shet,  gonna die from all that stress. The vet said it WAS because of his squirming about when he was being clipped, and it was okay since the bleeding has stopped. But golly, I really got worried that it might get infected or something.

*Whew!*

my baby, all hairy and still ungroomed. :P

Pepot was a good sport today. :)
I asked if the clinic offered grooming services, and I found out that they did. It's more expensive than taking him to the groomers in Cartimar or Ortigas, but it's better since it's in the village.
So next week, a lot of that facial hair will be trimmed so you could see the world clearer, Pepot!! Hahaha

One of the last few photos of the Christmas version.

Anyway, I really had a lot of fun in the long version of Pista...and there were new stuff for me too. (I won't elaborate na lang)

After Going Back to Work. :)

[currently listenin to: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?]

Haha. Well, the first day of being back to "work" wasn't so bad. Actually, bumawi nga ako e. Haha! 3 shows sa first day ko after Christmas. 3 shows! I barely made it after class!! :P

But it's overwhelming coz I really missed my friends there. :)
Although first day..wapak!!..napagalitan agad ang buong sambayanan... :P

Hehe..halos 12:30am na ako nakauwi!! :D Saya db!?

BUM. Christmas 2010.

[currently listening to: Chinese channel]

Aaaaah!! 5 araw na ako walang class!!
Out of shape na nga...mas out of shape pa lalo... :P

December 23
Cast A kasi ng show. So off kami nun. Just went shopping that day na lang. Grabe. Ang gastos ko talaga!

December 24
Off ang buong company this day. Sa bahay lang forever. First bath din ni Pepot! Ang panget niya talaga pag basa. Para siyang malaking daga. And super nginig kaya I blowdried him na lang (not too hot, of course). NagChristmas Eve mass lang ng 10pm, and that's it.

December 25
Start ng Christmas shows sa Aliw. Naka apat na shows ata sila. But I had to go to Tarlac. He loved Mommy Iling's house though.

December 26
Reunion naman ng Sinchioco. Blaah. Kainan lang naman tapos takas na agad. My parents wanted to watch Ai Ai's Tanging Ina kaya nagmall hopping kami (Powerplant, Newport City, Greenbelt) and none of them had the movie. Well, Greenbelt had it kaya lang ang dami talagang tao! Kaya nagCartimar na lang kami that day and bought Pepot new stuff.

December 27

Lunch sa Kimono Ken
I ordered the stuff na I can't afford alone! Haha

Pepot's first visit to the vet. And wala pa din akong show this day. Isang cast lang yung December 25-27. Damn. We watched the 12:10pm screening in Shangri-la.

December 28

AHA!! Finally, I get back to work later! Good luck though sa class, cause this will most probably hurt like hell tomorrow. 5 days ka ba namang walang activity. Gahd. I miss my BM family na. :)

KUTOOOOOO!!!

[currently listening to: Lady Gaga]

Gahd. Yes. He has TICKS!!!
*NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

Two possible reasons why he has them:
  • Before arriving, he already had them. (from Cartimar)
  • He got them from the other dog, Pepper, who stayed outside close to his first set-up in the kitchen.
It's really hard to see him scratch himself like that. Nakakaawa.
So when we went to Cartimar last night, I bought him new stuff:
  1. Water Feeder
  2. Squeaky Toys (he absolutely loves them!)
  3. Collar & Leash
  4. FRONTLINE Spot-on
The #4 is the most important. I made a lot of research, and that was what I found to be the most effective for ticks. And mas mura siya sa Cartimar. I got one pipette for PhP280 in Cartimar. It's PhP375 when you get it from the vet.

Ang ginawa ko na lang, I bought the Frontline in Cartimar, then pina-apply ko na lang sa vet since I wasn't sure where I'm supposed to put it. Libre pa. :)

Chooey a.k.a. PEPOT

[currently listening to: Mama's music files]

Eto na siya. :)
Originally, CHOOEY yung gusto kong name. Short for Chewbaka (kahit na yung EWOKS ang kamukha niya. Haha). Kaya lang, Papa kept on calling him PEPOT hanggang sa si Pepot na lang ang kilala niyang name niya. So it kinda stuck, whether I liked it or not. ;[

I got him last Dec. 21, Christmas party pa ng BM nun. Haha

Same day, binilhan ko na din siya ng bed, food (syempre), brush, tsaka doggie bowl. Taxi din kami nang bonggang bongga pauwi. Haha

First Few Days sa Bahay

Una niyang set-up. Haha.

Bought him a PLAYPEN.

He now stays in my room.
December 23 ata. I went back to Cartimar to buy him his pen! I didn't want to buy a crate kasi nga ayaw ko siyang ikulong na as in KULONG. So I looked for something na confined siya sa isang space pero open na lang yung taas. So I opted for a pen.

So ayan na yung pen niya. Kasya siguro ang isa pa. So it's big for him. And...he stays in MY ROOM!! Haha. So medyo amoy dog na yung room ko ngayon. :P

Thank you so much sa nagbuhat ng napakabigat na bagay na 'to. I love you so much!!! :-*

December 25, 2010

Reunion ng Sigua sa Tarlac, and I can't really leave Pepot in the house kaya sinama namin siya.
Pinagkaguluhan uli ang loko dun. Star uli siya. Hahaha
Stress din uli ako.

Pero...
WAAAAAAH!!!
Yikes.

See, told you ang weird.
I think he vomitted once nung pauwi na kami. It's either because of the huge stress sa pagtravel or kasi gutom na siya. I'm not really so sure.

Laging weird yung position. :P

Puppy Hunting.

[currently listening to: Family Guy 10]

The big pet haven, Cartimar. With all your pet needs!
Hi guys!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! :D
New look, new urge to blog again.

Maybe this time I would be sharing my experiences as a new mom...to a "furbaby", that is.

I recently bought myself a Shih Tzu pup this Christmas.
I've been considering getting myself a small dog all year and I finally decided to go through with it. I wanted a smaller dog since I wanted to experience having an small "indoor" dog, being in a family that only had BIG dogs (we have a German Shepherd, a Siberian Husky, a half Siberian Husky, and an Aspin), so those guys, obviously, could just stay outside.
Plus, now, I think I could already provide the basic needs of a little pup. So here, why not. :)

I've been going around Cartimar for some time, looking for my future baby. Yes, I know about puppy mills and the bad reputation of pet stores, but I couldn't really afford the pups that good and reputable breeders have. So as best as I could, I looked for a good store. My definition of good being: the sellers should be the owners of the pups' parents, they should know the basic things about the breed, they have concern for their puppies, they have a good/clean environment, etc

So before asking around, I made sure I researched about the breeds I was interested in. Originally, I wanted a pug. But when I searched for one, I only found one place who had them and they kinda looked "unhealthy". So iba na lang. I looked for my second favorite, the Shih Tzu.

There were A LOT of Shih Tzus there. Every place practically had them. I looked for the most reasonably priced pups. The not-too-cheap/not-too-high priced one. And eventually, I found Aling Naty. Haha.

The playful pups drew me to them. And Aling Naty even let me touch the pups. Ang KULIT nila!!! They were very active little boogers!! Hahaha
So ayan na, I told Aling Naty I'd come back. :)

Actually, when I went puppy hunting, I haven't told my parents about it pa. So that night, I asked my mom if I could get a pup. The usual responsibility concerns was discussed until my mom finally said, "If it's the only way I could get you home, why not."
Gahd. -_-
Hahaha

And here's the start of a whole new series of MADNESS. :D
